Presales System Engineer - K12 and Local Government - Utah
About The Position
Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a motivated Presales Systems Engineer to support its growing HPE Networking business, which includes Aruba and Juniper Networks. This position is designed for an experienced Systems Engineer ready to advance their career. The engineer will work with account teams, partners, and customers to design and position networking solutions that support digital transformation. The role is designated Remote/Teleworker, primarily working from home, and requires regular travel to customer sites within Utah. Candidates must reside in the greater Utah area.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in networking infrastructure.
- Prior experience as a networking Systems Engineer or in a similar role.
- Candidates must reside in the greater Utah area and be able to travel regularly to customer sites within Utah.
- Familiarity with network design principles and protocols.
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in networking design, installation, services, and support.
- Background in government (state, local, or federal), K–12, enterprise, or service provider industries.
- Understanding of SLED and enterprise environments and procurement processes.
- Interest in network automation, AI-driven operations, and cloud-managed networking.
Responsibilities
- Develop technical proficiency across the HPE Networking portfolio, including Aruba wired and wireless, ClearPass, Central, Juniper switching and routing, security, and automation.
- Partner with sales teams to understand customer needs, design solutions, and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations.
- Create solution architectures and proposals aligned with customer objectives, and lead proof-of-concept activities.
- Participate in advanced training programs and certifications to deepen expertise in HPE and Juniper technologies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners to support successful solution positioning and adoption.
