About The Position

Adastra is seeking a highly skilled Presales Solutions Architect with deep experience in Manufacturing, Retail, and Distribution (MRD) to support our sales organization in designing, positioning, and shaping cloud, data, and AI-driven solutions for complex enterprise clients. This role bridges technical architecture expertise and industry-specific knowledge, supporting sales teams through discovery, solutioning, and technical validation. As a trusted technical advisor, you will help MRD clients modernize operations, optimize supply chains, improve visibility across production and inventory, and unlock data-driven decision-making across physical and digital value chains.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in pre-sales, solution architecture, or technical consulting roles
  • Strong experience supporting enterprise clients within Manufacturing, Retail, and/or Distribution
  • Hands-on experience designing solutions across cloud and data platforms (AWS, Azure, Databricks, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of MRD data domains including: Supply chain and logistics Inventory and fulfillment Manufacturing operations Point-of-sale, ERP, and OMS data
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences
  • Proven experience supporting sales cycles through discovery, workshops, demos, and proposal development

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AI/ML use cases in MRD (forecasting, optimization, anomaly detection, computer vision, etc.)
  • Familiarity with IoT / edge data architectures in manufacturing or logistics environments
  • Experience aligning solutions to ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics)
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Databricks, or equivalent)

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Manufacturing, Retail, and Distribution sales leaders to understand client business models, operational challenges, and transformation priorities
  • Conduct discovery sessions and technical qualification focused on MRD use cases such as supply chain optimization, inventory intelligence, demand forecasting, and operational analytics
  • Develop and deliver compelling solution presentations, technical workshops, and executive briefings tailored to both business and technical stakeholders
  • Translate MRD business requirements into high-level solution architectures across cloud, data platforms, AI/ML, and application modernization
  • Design end-to-end conceptual architectures supporting MRD workloads, including: Supply chain and logistics analytics Demand forecasting and inventory optimization Manufacturing operations analytics and IoT-enabled insights Retail customer intelligence, personalization, and pricing optimization Distribution visibility and fulfillment analytics
  • Provide technical guidance across compute, storage, networking, security, identity, and governance aligned to enterprise MRD environments
  • Recommend cloud-native and hybrid architectures that balance scalability, resilience, cost efficiency, and data governance
  • Support cost estimation, solution sizing, and effort planning for proposed solutions
  • Contribute to RFP/RFI responses, proposals, solution diagrams, and technical write-ups
  • Collaborate closely with delivery, industry SMEs, and partner teams (AWS, Microsoft, Databricks) to ensure solution feasibility and alignment
