About The Position

Central Market is seeking a Production Representative to handle fresh, quality ingredients. Assignments vary depending on the store department. The role includes preparing, producing, stocking, and selling products while maintaining product quality, sanitation, and organized production and storage areas. The position also provides customer service and supports sales through product demonstrations and suggestive selling.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy loads of at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, push, and pull.
• Ability to work overnight and flexible schedules, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with commercial production.
• Knowledge of and experience preparing baked goods.

Responsibilities

• Mix, shape, bake, wrap, and stock products.
• Ensure product quality before products are sent to the sales floor.
• Maintain sanitation in the department.
• Keep back storage, freezer, walk-in, and production areas organized.
• Read and execute the daily production list.
• Provide customer service, including answering questions and taking orders by phone.
• Assist in monitoring product quality and shrink.
• Order and receive products and supplies.
• Maintain transfer records.
• Prepare, wrap, price, sell, and continuously stock products.
• Demonstrate products or prepare customer samples for self-service.
• Provide excellent customer service and use suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales.
