About The Position

A Dairy Sales Rep stocks and sells products to new and existing retail customers and orders assigned products to maximize sales. The role includes merchandising, fronting, and selling products, while working under immediate supervision and following detailed verbal and written instructions. It applies and develops basic skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment relevant to the department, and requires specific product knowledge. The position is part time at Central Market's San Antonio Broadway location.

Requirements

Typically requires 0–2 years of experience.
Strong customer service skills.
Passion for food.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
Ability to manage loads over 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs.
Materials handling equipment certification.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of department products, food preparation, and equipment used is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide good customer service.
Organize, clean, and prepare the back area for incoming deliveries.
Keep the sales floor uncluttered and free from spills.
Stock and rotate items as needed.
Reset products and maintain shelf conditions, including the integrity of shelf tags and department signage.
Check shipments for out-of-date or damaged products to ensure freshness and quality.
Meet federal, state, and company regulations and standards for product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation.
Maintain standards in shrink, safety, and inventory control.
Assist in merchandising the department to maximize sales.
Use suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales.
Order assigned products to maximize sales.
