This is a full-time position in the Food and Nutrition Services department, specifically within the Cafeteria. The role focuses on contributing to overall positive patient and customer satisfaction by meeting high service and quality standards. The Preparation Cook is responsible for maintaining sanitation standards, monitoring product quality, ensuring recipe compliance, and meeting productivity and delivery schedules. This role also involves following safety and sanitation regulations, completing required training, participating in performance improvement initiatives, and working collaboratively with other team members. Cost control through minimizing waste and proper equipment/supply management are also key aspects of this position. The Preparation Cook may also assume the role of Team Leader in their absence and is responsible for resolving employee, customer, and departmental issues.
