About The Position

The Prep Desk Specialist performs a variety of functions within the Logistics Center, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control. This role requires a broad knowledge of the Warehouse Management System, the ability to release work assignments, conduct research, and troubleshoot discrepancies. The specialist will communicate feedback and solutions for resolution, moving readily between different functions within the Logistics Center. The role involves responding to questions, resolving complex problems, reviewing and releasing tasks, analyzing workflows to maximize labor utilization, and monitoring daily order processing to improve workflow. Additionally, the specialist will research and reconcile problem orders to meet facility timelines, conduct investigations to reconcile inventory discrepancies, and perform necessary system transactions to maintain inventory accuracy. The position also includes collecting, analyzing, and maintaining statistics, recommending courses of action, participating in inventory activities, and contributing to process improvement initiatives within the facility and the logistics network. Additional duties may be assigned, and meeting attendance and punctuality standards is essential.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of high-volume logistics warehouse experience
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • Experience in Logistics functions/systems such as SAP-WMS, SOP's, shipping, receiving and/or inventory control.

  • Material handling equipment experiences preferred
  • Associate degree
