As a Prep Crew member on the Weekend Night shift, you will be involved in manufacturing life-sustaining products, finding motivation in their impact. You will move quickly, respond to inquiries, and support team members while delivering quality products on time. The role requires a steady, upbeat demeanor and being a crucial part of a lively workplace that values cooperation and shared effort. Comprehensive training is provided, with mentorship from managers and colleagues. This is a permanent part-time position on the Weekend Night Shift (Friday 23:00-07:00, Saturday 19:00 - 07:00, Sunday 19:00-03:00) at the Alliston facility.

Requirements

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or Ontario Grade 12 Equivalency program
  • Experience doing repetitive tasks and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated good attendance, performance, and attitude, applying Baxter’s Shared Commitments
  • Ability to plan ahead and work efficiently under minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in confined space

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary degree in Engineering or Science
  • Manufacturing/Quality experience in a GMP environment
  • Experience in the food or manufacturing industry
  • More than 3 years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and sanitizing Viaflex fill lines, machines, pumps, pipeworks, and parts
  • Carrying out monthly and weekly cleaning of classified and unclassified areas in Mixing and Filling departments
  • Cleaning different equipment in mixing and filling sections (emplexes, trough washes, etc.)
  • Timely disinfection of all fill lines throughout the Weekend Night shift
  • Supporting the goal of achieving a “Zero Harm Environment” by following all safety procedures
  • Ensuring the quality of our products by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality procedures
  • Participating in continuous improvement activities and embracing 6s
  • Documentation of activity on EBR computer system
  • Assist with line teardowns as required
