Our manufacturing operations run around-the-clock to meet customer needs. This is a full-time permanent position on the Midnight shift (Sunday to Thursday 23:00-7:00) at our Alliston facility. The team focuses on manufacturing high-quality products, striving for attention to detail to deliver life-saving products correctly. Requirements

  • Successful completion of High School diploma or GED required (Proof will be requested).
  • Experience doing repetitive tasks.
  • Manufacturing/Quality experience in a GMP environment.
  • Experience in food or manufacturing industry.
  • Demonstrated good attendance in present position.
  • Demonstrated good performance & good quality in present position.
  • Demonstrated good attitude utilizing Baxters Shared Commitments.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required.
  • Experience in Trouble shooting mechanical problems.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Experience in working optimally both independently, and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated support & participation in the 6S initiative.
  • Proven ability to be proactive and self-motivated on the job.
  • Demonstrated ability to document data accurately per CA GPP 80.
  • Must have the ability to comprehend Baxter Specifications / SOP’s and resolve appropriate corrective actions.

Responsibilities

  • Operates the Weigh Blender and PVC Grinder.
  • Perform all necessary Q.A. checks and documentation for the Weigh Blender and PVC Grinder as required.
  • Assist Kiefel department with regrind activities as necessary.
  • Backup Kiefel & Sub-assembly Duties.
  • Operate the Weigh Blender and PVC grinder in a safe manner.
  • Perform QA inspections and complete documentation following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to support release of product.
  • Troubleshoot and make minor equipment adjustments to produce a quality product in an efficient manner.
  • Use of computer to enter shop floor data & order raw materials necessary.
  • Maintain all necessary production paperwork ensuring materials used correspond with B.O.M.
  • Transport raw materials and finished products following safe lifting guidelines and utilize lift devices and material handling equipment.
  • Operate and clean membrane/injection site, blue-cap closure machines, Recon machine and CAPD machine to meet or exceed productivity requirements (Sub-Assembly Operator).
  • Load hopper with parts and pack finished product into totes (Sub-Assembly Operator).
  • Obtain raw materials from staging areas to prepare for shift production (Sub-Assembly Operator).
  • Order materials when needed (Sub-Assembly Operator).
  • Visually check to assure that all stations are performing properly (Sub-Assembly Operator).
  • Perform QA checks per SOPs to achieve quality product (Sub-Assembly Operator).
  • Perform all startup cleaning and checks (Sub-Assembly Operator).
  • Perform minor mechanical adjustments as required (Sub-Assembly Operator).
  • Partner with maintenance when major repairs are required (i.e. sealing pin damage) (Sub-Assembly Operator).
  • Support EMS implementation which includes maintaining the department in 6S condition, tracking production, identifying root cause and counter measures and participating in the IDEAS program (Sub-Assembly Operator).
  • Learn, understand and apply thorough quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur.
  • Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.
