Mystic Café is seeking a motivated Prep Cook to join their dynamic and professional culinary team. This position requires a strong work ethic, problem-solving and time management skills, and an enthusiastic, teachable attitude. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation of all types of food items while following recipes, work as a team player, and assist in cleaning the kitchen area and equipment. Requirements

Prior experience in a reputable restaurant or hotel that is culinary and hospitality driven

Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully
Willingness to cross-train into other areas and Happy Day restaurants

Must be flexible with scheduling, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Access to reliable transportation

Responsibilities

Assist in preparation of all types of food items while following recipes
Work as a team player
Assist in cleaning the whole kitchen area, kitchen equipment, refrigerators, freezers, and storage area
Advise supervisor of kitchen equipment repair or replacement
Properly utilize, store, and label cooked food and food items
Check computer printout for menu amounts and recipes. Report any discrepancies to supervisor.
Submit food usage report to supervisor.
Any other related kitchen duties as assigned by a supervisor.
