About The Position

Mystic Café is currently seeking a motivated Prep Cook to join their dynamic and professional culinary team. This position requires a strong work ethic, problem-solving and time management skills, and an enthusiastic, teachable attitude. The ideal candidate will assist in preparation of all types of food items while following recipes, work as a team player, and assist in cleaning the whole kitchen area, kitchen equipment, refrigerators, freezers, and storage area. They will also advise their supervisor of kitchen equipment repair or replacement, properly utilize, store, and label cooked food and food items, and check computer printouts for menu amounts and recipes, reporting any discrepancies to their supervisor. The role also includes submitting food usage reports and performing any other related kitchen duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a reputable restaurant or hotel that is culinary and hospitality driven

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of all types of food items while following recipes
  • Work as a team player
  • Assist in cleaning the whole kitchen area, kitchen equipment, refrigerators, freezers, and storage area
