About The Position

Prep Cooks prepare recipes using fresh, high-quality ingredients and support back-of-house operations in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant. They work with the kitchen team to prepare food with care, consistency, and attention to detail, helping create memorable dining experiences for guests.

Requirements

Knowledge of food preparation, food handling, and food safety standards.
Ability to multitask efficiently and with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Follow prep lists and complete tasks efficiently, with speed and a sense of urgency.
Read and follow recipes, using accurate measurements, weights, and portions.
Prepare ingredients using knife skills such as chopping, dicing, and slicing.
Use cooking methods and culinary techniques including boiling, broiling, roasting, sautéing, frying, and grilling.
Prepare ingredients for more than 200 menu items, including sauces, dressings, and soups.
Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, broilers, flat tops, grills, tilt skillets, mixers, and slicers.
Label, date, and rotate food using FIFO procedures.
Follow instructions while maintaining organization, safety standards, cleanliness, and sanitation.
Follow food safety and food-handling procedures and prevent cross-contamination.
Support teamwork through clear, effective communication.
Work well under pressure while maintaining high standards.
