About The Position

The Prep Cook assists in food preparation including preparing, chopping and portioning ingredients as directed by chefs and cooks. They maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure all ingredients are ready for the cooking staff. This role is essential in helping to maintain a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. Other responsibilities include ensuring all food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, organizing and stocking kitchen supplies and ingredients, and monitoring inventory levels and reporting shortages. They may help with more complex tasks such as making sauces, baking, and frying and take on other duties as assigned. The starting rate for this role is $18.00 per hour.
