About The Position
Launchpad Hospitality is hiring a detail-oriented Prep Cook for Nami Nori. This is an opportunity for someone passionate about food, precise in their work, and interested in growing in a thoughtful, high-quality kitchen. Nami Nori specializes in open-style temaki (sushi hand rolls) and aims to provide outstanding experiences for guests and team members through omotenashi, the Japanese art of gracious hospitality. Previous Japanese culinary experience is not required; ideal candidates will be trained and can learn about Japanese ingredients, techniques, and Nami Nori’s signature open-style sushi hand rolls.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and follow verbal direction.
- Ability to understand basic math.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to lift at least 30 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to sit, bend, stoop, and stand, and perform extensive activity for 6–8 hours a day.
