About The Position

Goldminer's Daughter Lodge is hiring a Winter Seasonal Pantry/Prep Cook at the base of Alta Ski Area for the 2026–27 season, from mid-December 2026 through mid-April 2027. This full-time kitchen role is focused on preparing salads and desserts for lodge guests and staff. The position pays $15.25 per hour plus tips; the posting notes that original materials report average earnings around $19 per hour. The schedule is approximately 40 hours per week.

The role involves preparing ingredients, supporting kitchen operations during busy service, and keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and efficient. It offers hands-on kitchen experience and training in a fast-paced lodge setting. Staff housing and meals may be available to eligible seasonal employees. The employer is unable to sponsor H2B visa applicants.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and move quickly on your feet.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Kitchen or dish experience is a plus, but is not required; the employer will train the right person.
