Requirements

  • 1+ year of food preparation or kitchen experience required
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and basic cooking techniques
  • Ability to follow recipes and perform basic math for measurements and portions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare or institutional food service experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and handle food in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Follow standardized recipes, portion controls, and production sheets
  • Assist with forecasting food quantities based on menu and census needs
  • Perform basic cooking techniques (chopping, dicing, roasting, grilling, steaming, etc.)
  • Weigh and measure ingredients accurately to ensure consistency
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations, including proper food labeling and storage
  • Monitor food quality and participate in daily production and quality control processes
  • Assist with inventory, reporting low stock, and supporting ingredient ordering
  • Provide support with dishwashing and kitchen coverage as needed
  • Follow all safety protocols and report equipment or workplace concerns
