This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality meals while maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards. Requirements

1+ year of food preparation or kitchen experience required
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and basic cooking techniques
Ability to follow recipes and perform basic math for measurements and portions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

Healthcare or institutional food service experience preferred
High School Diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare and handle food in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
Follow standardized recipes, portion controls, and production sheets
Assist with forecasting food quantities based on menu and census needs
Perform basic cooking techniques (chopping, dicing, roasting, grilling, steaming, etc.)
Weigh and measure ingredients accurately to ensure consistency
Maintain clean and organized workstations, including proper food labeling and storage
Monitor food quality and participate in daily production and quality control processes
Assist with inventory, reporting low stock, and supporting ingredient ordering
Provide support with dishwashing and kitchen coverage as needed
Follow all safety protocols and report equipment or workplace concerns
