About The Position

Join the fun, fast-paced environment at Destination GN, located along the shores of Lake Como and three championship golf courses in popular Lake Geneva, WI. We offer multiple F&B venues from Geneva National's Clubhouse restaurant, turf smokehouse, to our five-star Hunt Club Steakhouse, Lodge GN's Crafted Italia, and in our banquet kitchens for special events. This is a great entry opportunity for a Culinary career leading to line cook and chef. As a prep cook, you are responsible for preparing food in accordance with club recipes and standards and maintaining the day-to-day food production in your specific area while ensuring a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment. Our kitchens are humming and plating up fresh, artful dishes at each venue. You will enjoy being part of this high quality back-of-house act that is highly valued!

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning vegetables, fruits, meats, and other food items.
  • Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency in food quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations, including equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
  • Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of stock and adherence to food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely preparation of food orders.
  • Assist in basic cooking tasks, such as sautéing, grilling, and baking, as directed by the chef or sous chef.
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food safety regulations, including proper handling of raw ingredients and safe cooking temperatures.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to management.
  • Support kitchen staff during busy periods by taking on additional tasks as needed.
