About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring full-time and part-time Prep Cooks at Exodus Seton Hall in Los Angeles, California. The role prepares food and serves customers in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Prep Cooks follow production schedules, recipes, food-quality and portion standards, and food-safety and sanitation procedures. They may also take customer orders and serve food at multiple stations. The position pays $20.00 to $24.00 per hour. Schedules vary and may include AM or PM shifts; further details are provided during the interview. Previous cooking experience is required. Responsibilities

Obtain daily production schedules and preparation requirements from the Chef.
Prepare items listed on production sheets, following established quantities and recipes.
Complete daily production worksheets and waste log sheets.
Taste completed meals to ensure quality.
Operate and clean equipment according to department procedures after each use.
Store, label, and date food items according to policy.
Follow HACCP guidelines and food-safety procedures.
Complete required documentation, reports, and logs.
Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
Take customer orders and prepare items requiring short preparation times.
Serve customers efficiently and in a friendly manner.
Complete orders from steam tables and grills and serve customers at multiple stations.
Use approved recipes and production standards to maintain quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
Resolve customer concerns.
Perform other duties as assigned.
