About The Position

Assists cooks in the preparation of all items for the Food and Beverage outlets.

Requirements

  • Culinary skills: Knowledge of cooking techniques, flavor combinations, and food presentation
  • Experience in a dietary department or similar food service environment
  • Proficient in food handling and safety practices
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knife skills for food preparation
  • Familiarity with the food industry and its standards
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
  • Ability to work well as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and portion sizes
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, such as chopping vegetables and marinating meats
  • Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service
  • Adhere to dietary restrictions and special requests from customers
