About The Position

This role involves assessing and monitoring patients before and after surgery, managing their recovery, and ensuring a safe and comfortable experience. The Registered Nurse will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other staff to coordinate patient care and document all assessments and interventions accurately within the EMR. The position requires a strong ability to recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, utilizing clinical judgment and facility protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in Georgia or compact state
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of RN experience in Preop and/or PACU preferred
  • Excel under pressure and maintain a calm, clear head in dynamic clinical situations
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and surgical teams
  • Have excellent critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
  • Bring a team-oriented attitude and prioritizes patient safety and comfort
  • Value precision and detail in documentation and clinical execution

Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor preoperative patients, obtain vital signs, review medical history, and ensure informed consent is complete
  • Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, manage pain, and address any complications to ensure safe and comfortable recovery
  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner within the EMR
  • Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other staff to coordinate patient care and ensure a seamless surgical experience
  • Recognize and act on changes in patient condition, using independent clinical judgment and facility protocols to guide decisions
