Registered Nurse PRN Preop/PACU
About The Position
The Pre-Op and Phase II Recovery unit consists of 14 rooms, functioning as a single unit. This integrated setting aims to provide patients with the same nurse for both pre-procedure and post-procedure care, thereby enhancing continuity of care. The role requires previous critical care or recovery experience, strong clinical knowledge and skills related to the perioperative experience, and the ability to multitask effectively amidst frequent interruptions in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude, good communication skills, and a commitment to high-quality patient care are essential. The nurse must be willing and capable of working in both pre-operative and post-operative areas.
Requirements
- Current RN Licensure in the State of Kentucky
- BCLS required
- ACLS and PALS required
- Proficient in starting IV’s
- Minimum of one year RN experience in PACU or ICU setting
