About The Position

This role is for a PRN Registered Nurse in the Pre-Operative and Phase II Recovery unit. The unit consists of 14 rooms, allowing for continuity of care by potentially having the same nurse for a patient before and after their procedure. The position requires strong clinical knowledge of the perioperative experience, good organizational and multitasking skills, flexibility with working hours, a positive attitude, and strong communication skills. The nurse must be willing and capable of working in both pre- and post-operative areas and be committed to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Current RN Licensure in the State of Kentucky
BCLS required
ACLS and PALS required
Proficient in starting IV’s
Minimum of one year RN experience in PACU or ICU setting

Responsibilities

Provide care for patients in the Pre-Operative and Phase II Recovery areas.
Ensure continuity of care by potentially caring for the same patient before and after their procedure.
Utilize strong clinical knowledge and skills regarding the perioperative experience.
Multitask with frequent interruptions.
Work flexible hours.
Maintain a positive attitude and good communication skills.
Work in both pre- and post-operative areas.
Commit to high-quality patient care.
