About the People Inc. Apprentice Program: The People Inc. Apprentice Program empowers Iowa’s next generation of creators, innovators, and problem-solvers. Rooted in Des Moines and open to students across the state, it bridges classroom learning with real-world impact, offering apprentices the chance to grow with purpose while helping People Inc. shape the future of media, technology, and storytelling. Deadline to Apply: Sunday, March 29, 2026 Eligibility Requirements: Junior, Senior or recent graduate at an accredited college or university Located in the state of Iowa Available to work 15-20 hours per week, September 7, 2026 - May 22, 2027 Ability to spend at least 2 days a week on site in our DSM office Access to your own housing and transportation to/from the DSM office About the Team: The Premium Publishing/Traditional Home team consists of editors and art directors who are committed to creating quality home content. There are decades of meaningful experience from which valuable publishing, career, and life information can be gleaned. About the Role: As a Traditional Home/Premium Publishing apprentice, you would be a contributor to luxury home content. You will be in regular communication with industry publicists and designers, organizing, and serving as production support for photo shoots, meetings, etc. You will engage in a certain level of writing, social media, and photo shoots.

Requirements

• Ability to switch gears easily, as assignments and types of assignments vary
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong communication that includes phone interviews and phone communication, not solely email
• Open to new challenges and excited to grow within a fast-paced, expanding, and constantly evolving organization
• Creative and driven self-starter that can take direction and run with it, asking questions up front to ensure you’re able to complete the task successfully
• Motivated problem solver who will proactively troubleshoot and create solution
• Experience with Google & Microsoft Suites
• Junior, Senior or recent graduate at an accredited college or university
• Located in the state of Iowa
• Available to work 15-20 hours per week, September 7, 2026 - May 22, 2027
• Ability to spend at least 2 days a week on site in our DSM office

Nice To Haves

• Some experience with digital media is a plus but not required
• Interest in design and digital content

Responsibilities

• Research to help Traditional Home/ Premium Publishing
• Participation in brainstorm/production meetings
• Light social media engagement and production
• Photo Shoot production and participation. The apprentice will participate in photo shoot production from preparation and organization of props and products, to styling on-site.
• General People, Inc. experiences to give this apprentice a 360-degree scope of the business operation including taste panels, product previews, etc.
