About The Position

Omniscient Digital is seeking an Editorial Strategist to move beyond content production into creative strategy. This role involves internalizing a client's brand, product, and competitive landscape to produce and direct high-impact creative work across various formats. The Editorial Strategist will work closely with clients, diagnose problems, and architect creative solutions, including written content, original research, designed assets, UX copy, and ad copy. The role is foundational in narrative and storytelling but extends beyond just words on a page. The strategist will be part of the Creative function, supporting revenue-driving channels like on-page/organic growth, digital PR, and paid media by understanding channel needs and producing or directing the creation of assets that ensure strategy success. Candidates must be based within +/- 3 hours of Eastern Time.

Requirements

  • Strategist mindset: thinking about 'why' before 'what', understanding that content is a means to an end.
  • Creative versatility, with experience or ability to learn and direct work in written content, research, design direction, UX copy, and emerging formats.
  • Intellectual curiosity, with a habit of reading widely and genuine interest in business growth, product positioning, and buyer decision-making.
  • AI-native: comfortable using AI tools as a co-pilot, experimenting with new tools, and building AI-integrated workflows.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and change, willing to shape and evolve the role.
  • High agency: proactive in taking on new projects, identifying opportunities, and building things without explicit direction.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic (30,000 feet) and tactical (500 feet) levels.
  • Candidates must be based -/+ 3 hours of Eastern Time.
