A Pre-Fabrication Generalist produces parts for welders that comply with engineering released drawings or work orders produced by project planning. Knowledge and experience with machinery and processes below is preferred, however training for the right candidate will be provided.

• Able to keep work area clean and well organized (equipment in good working order).
• Experience with a wide variety of stainless steel alloys.
• Proficient in the interpretation of mechanical drawings, and assembly drawings.
• Must possess the ability to layout and create parts from drawings accurately.
• Skill in the use of trigonometry, shop math and construction formulae.
• Time management skills
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
• Must be able to complete and pass a physical assessment
• Every day repetitive wrist, hand or finger movement, involving gripping and wrist torquin
• Every day stair climbing, standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping, and occasional reaching overhead

• Exposure to moving machinery, dust, dirt, grease, or other disagreeable elements
• Must have ability to hear emergency communications and alarms

Responsibilities

• Cleans and polishes tools in preparation for job
• Assists with yard clean-up, organization, and scrapping of materials
• Follows cut list provided by project planning
• Produce and layout parts from drawings
• Uses and operates machinery such as the press, punches, plate rolls, drill press, hand plasma cutter, bevel machine
• Operates tow motor and/or forklift as needed
