About The Position

RANDALL Construction – Prefabrication department is currently seeking top-tier Pipefitters to work in our Shop in Apopka, FL. We have a 3 - 4 month project focusing on stainless steel piping. We are excited about this important role and are determined to consider the best and brightest candidates who meet our requirements. This is a full-time on-site role for Pipe Fitters located in Apopka, FL. The Pipe Fitters will be responsible for fitting pipes to specifications, examining work product for defects, and ensuring conformance with specifications.

Requirements

  • Experience fitting stainless steel piping
  • Knowledge of plumbing and pipefitting techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret spool drawings and technical detail data sheets.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity with attention to detail
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational training or certification in pipe welding
  • Must be able to pass a brief verbal pipe fitters test during interview.
  • Working knowledge of gas cutting techniques for piping (Automatic & Manually)
  • Excellent knowledge of Fitting configurations adhering to ASME B31.1 Power Piping
  • Effective English or Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) verbal and written communication skills are a must have.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to achieve quality objectives and project success.
  • Commitment to adhering to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
  • Must be able to lift a dead weight of at least 50 pounds and stand on your feet for several hours at a time.
  • Must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required by the job.
  • Be able to respond quickly to sounds, see and respond to dangerous situations, and properly wear personal protective gear.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred knowledge of examination, testing, inspection, operation, and maintenance of piping systems found in industrial, institutional, and general heating and cooling systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Fit stainless steel, steel & various alloys piping for plumbing/mechanical applications.
  • Examine work product for defects.
  • Ensure conformance with specifications.
