About The Position

The Predoctoral Scholar position involves preparing experiment proposals, conducting laboratory experiments, maintaining and analyzing data, drafting manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals, and preparing grant applications. The role requires designing, executing, and interpreting scientific data, while staying current with developments in the field. Adherence to University policies and safeguarding of University assets are also essential. This list of duties is not exhaustive and may be expanded as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
No prior experience required
Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.

Responsibilities

Prepares experiment proposals with detailed rationale, background data, and proposed methods and organization.
Conducts laboratory experiments and studies and records findings.
Maintains data files and conducts data analysis.
Drafts and publishes manuscripts and articles for peer-reviewed journals.
Prepares and submits grant applications.
Designs, executes, interprets, and integrates scientific data.
Maintains current knowledge of significant developments in the field.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
