About The Position

The Postdoctoral Scholar in Clinical Neuropsychology will pursue specialized research clinical training, education, and research. The training philosophy is based on the scientist-practitioner model and is consistent with the Houston Conference Guidelines for training in clinical neuropsychology (Hannay, Bieliauskas, Crosson, Hammeke, Hamsher, & Koffler, 1998). The fellow will be involved in activities related to clinical training in neuropsychology, specifically participating in patient assessments, testing, case formulation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and feedback to patients and families. The fellow will provide neuropsychological services to diverse patient populations with neurodegenerative disorders, movement disorders, serious mental illnesses, and comorbid medical conditions.

Requirements

• A doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology.

Responsibilities

• Participate in continuous evaluation and feedback.
• Periodic meetings with the fellow’s clinical supervisors and the training director offer more structured, mutual evaluation and opportunities to discuss professional development issues.
• Participate in an organized sequence of educational experiences, including seminars, colloquia, and workshops on clinical research, theoretical and practical applications of clinical neuropsychology and neuropsychiatry, and professional development and ethics.
• Participate in research activities, including archival studies and involvement with current research protocols.
