About The Position

The Preconstruction Project Manager bridges engineering design and construction to deliver projects within required timelines and established budgets while meeting client expectations. The role leads planning and coordination from early design through final proposal and transition into construction, working closely with sales, engineering, suppliers, subcontractors, scheduling, safety, and construction teams. The position develops plans and mitigates risks related to schedule, budget, safety, and quality. The role coordinates internal contributors, owns the integrated delivery plan, schedule, budget, and final proposal, and supports constructability, sequencing, estimating, scheduling, procurement, and site logistics planning. It also builds cooperative partnerships among clients, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve issues and support project success. The position uses a hybrid work arrangement across Brady offices in Greensboro, Morrisville, and Wilmington, with travel throughout North Carolina that may reach 50% of working time and vary with project needs. Travel may involve extended periods at client sites, construction sites, fabrication facilities, and project offices. The position is primarily based in a typical office environment, with occasional jobsite visits that may involve outdoor work, mechanical or equipment rooms, and customer-occupied spaces. Site visits may expose the Associate to wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, heights, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme temperatures, electrical shock risk, vibration, and moderate noise. Physical requirements include frequent sitting, standing, walking, and computer and telephone use; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds; and regular speaking, hearing, and jobsite travel. Required vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Reasonable accommodation may be made for individuals with disabilities.
