The Preconstruction Project Manager bridges engineering design and construction, ensuring projects are planned and coordinated from early design through a smooth transition into construction. The role is responsible for meeting timelines and budgets while exceeding client expectations, and requires extensive communication with sales, engineering, suppliers, subcontractors, scheduling, safety, and construction teams to develop plans and mitigate project risks related to schedule, budget, safety, and quality. The position leads preconstruction activities from concept through final proposal, coordinating internal contributors and owning the integrated delivery plan, schedule, budget, and proposal. It supports constructability, sequencing, estimating, scheduling, procurement, site logistics, 3-D visualizations, and coordination with safety, quality, project services, and technical services. The role also develops cooperative relationships among clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and support project success. This is a hybrid role supporting teams across Brady offices in Greensboro, Morrisville, and Wilmington, with in-person participation as project needs require. Travel may be up to 50% of working time, including extended periods at client sites, construction sites, fabrication facilities, and project offices throughout North Carolina. The work is typically in an office, with occasional jobsite visits and associated outdoor and industrial exposures.
