Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 2 (Second Shift) to join their team in Rolling Meadows, IL. This role supports the Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM) Cell, where precision, safety, and adherence to specialized processes are critical. The position involves performing a variety of operations to assemble, solder, and integrate precision electromechanical products, using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specified tolerances. The assembler will also be responsible for assembling, disassembling, repairing, and reassembling precision assemblies, correcting malfunctions, and modifying prototype precision units for engineering personnel. Quality monitoring through statistical processes or other control procedures, accurate data/record keeping, and adherence to electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures are also key aspects of the role. The candidate will work from designs, work instructions, and verbal instructions, and will need to complete in-house Solder, Optics, ESD, and FOD certifications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Enterprise Resource Planning Software is required. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate, read, understand, work with small mechanical parts and fiber optic cables, and follow standard operating procedures and assembly instructions. This is a Second Shift position.
