About The Position

The G2000 team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 2 (Weekend Shift) based out of Salt Lake City, UT. This role involves performing wiring and component installation, hand soldering, disassembling, modifying, reworking, or reassembling units using various hand and pneumatic tools. The position may also include mechanical assembly, cable assembly, component forming and mounting, and high reliability assembly. The assembler is expected to work with various chemicals and solvents for extended periods and will complete part marking and simple continuity checks on work in process and completed units. Work will be performed from verbal or written instructions, including wiring diagrams and assembly drawings.

Requirements

  • High School diploma and 2 years additional education and/or experience.
  • Experience doing fine-detailed soldering with a microscope.
  • Must possess basic, verbal and written communication skills for minimal interaction with others.
  • Able to achieve J-STD-001 certification.
  • Ability to work the weekend shift (Friday - Sunday, 6AM - 6:30PM).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of techniques, approaches, guidelines, policies and procedures in the job area.
  • Must be able to perform assembly techniques in order to make modifications, reworks and assemblies.
  • J-STD-001 solder certification or equivalent soldering skills.
  • Ability to perform basic problem solving techniques which are fully defined and available through the supervisor, coworkers and written materials.

Responsibilities
