Precertification Specialist I
About The Position
Premier Radiology is seeking a talented, patient-focused individual to join our growing team as a Precertification Specialist. This role is responsible for contacting insurance companies and third-party administrators to determine pre-authorization and/or medical necessity requirements for outpatient radiology exams and procedures. The Precertification Specialist will be responsible for obtaining the pre-authorization before the scheduled services are performed and will act as a liaison between the patients and referring physician offices when needed to obtain additional clinical documentation. This is a fully remote position, and the ideal candidate will be working in the CST time-zone.
Requirements
- Background in healthcare preferred.
- Working knowledge of medical billing and managed care.
- Excellent communication skills to communicate with patients, physicians, clients, coworkers, and management staff.
- Excellent phone and computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Background with eClinicalWorks Practice Management System preferred.
Responsibilities
