About The Position

The Pre-T Nurse Aide position is part of the Nurse Aide Training Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP). During the prior-to-training period, the team member may not perform direct or physical patient care. After completing nurse aide classes and required clinical work, the team member is considered a Nurse Aide in Training (NAT). A team member may not work at the facility as a nurse aide in the Pre-T or NAT positions for more than four months and must pass the licensure test during that period to become a State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA). If the team member does not pass within four months, they must be terminated or moved to a non-nursing position.
