About The Position

The Pre-T Nurse Aide position is part of the Nurse Aide Training Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP). During the prior-to-training period, the team member may not perform direct or physical patient care. After completing nurse aide classes and required clinical work, the team member is considered a Nurse Aide in Training (NAT). The facility may not employ an individual as a nurse aide in the Pre-T or NAT positions for more than four months. The team member must pass the licensure test within that period to become a State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA); if they do not, they must either be terminated or moved to a non-nursing position. Pay is $14.00 to $16.50 an hour. Chesterwood is an equal opportunity employer and a smoke-free workplace.
