This position is considered Seasonal Full-Time, with an approximate start date in April and running through December, including some downtime during the off-peak period. The Preschool Aide will assist the Teacher with planning and conducting a classroom instructional curriculum and activities for assigned children, which encourages the growth of language, social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and communication skills. The role involves assisting in daily health checks, conducting and monitoring developmental screenings, and implementing Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) and Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs). The aide will monitor children's progress, supervise classroom activities in the Teacher's absence, and assist in preparing and maintaining records and reports. This role requires staying current on educational practices, assisting in developing dual language in the classroom, and preparing children for kindergarten transition. The aide will help maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, provide experiences that foster curiosity and creativity, and help establish clear, age-appropriate rules for children. The position may also involve duties as a bus monitor and requires maintaining client confidentiality.
