This position is considered Seasonal Full-Time, with an approximate start date in March/April and running through December, including some downtime during the off-peak period. The Education Coordinator will supervise teachers in the implementation of the Early Learning Outcome Framework (ELOF) and curricula, train and mentor in appropriate teaching strategies, and assist in the coordination of Staff Development plans for teaching staff. This role also involves coordinating and implementing developmental screening and assessments, supporting Pre-school teacher’s implementation of high-quality interaction as defined by CLASS or best practices for infant & toddler services, and coordinating the collection, analysis, communication, and dissemination of data. The coordinator will have oversight of mental health and disability service delivery, be in charge of the daily schedule of classroom staff (which may include substituting), and conduct ongoing monitoring of classrooms. Additionally, they will establish and maintain working relationships with local school districts, therapists, mental health providers, and childcare partners to facilitate advocacy and referrals, complete record keeping and reporting per prescribed timelines, and ensure teaching staff comply with policies and procedures. The role includes supervising teachers and conducting their annual performance evaluations, ensuring classrooms have necessary materials for curriculum implementation, assisting in the coordination of parent meetings, and overseeing the implementation of Fatherhood activities. Maintaining standards of confidentiality for clients and records is crucial. The ability to multi-task, manage time, meet deadlines, and remain calm and professional under pressure is essential. All work duties must be performed in accordance with CC Idaho policies, procedures, and safety practices, and ensure compliance with CC Idaho, local, state, federal, and other applicable regulations and standards, as well as Early Head Start – Child Care Partners (EHS-CCP) partner site policies, procedures, and safety practices. Mentoring teachers and providing input for their annual performance evaluations are also key responsibilities.
