This position is considered Seasonal Full-Time, with an approximate start date in April and running through December, including some downtime during the off-peak period. The Preschool Aide will assist the Teacher with planning and conducting a classroom instructional curriculum and activities for assigned children, encouraging growth in language, social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and communication skills. Responsibilities include assisting in daily health checks, monitoring developmental screenings, implementing Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) and Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), and supervising classroom activities in the absence of the Teacher. The role also involves preparing and maintaining records, staying current on educational practices, developing dual language in the classroom, preparing children for kindergarten transition, and maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment. The aide will help provide experiences that foster curiosity, initiative, problem-solving, and creativity, and maintain clear, consistent rules for children. Duties may include acting as a bus monitor and maintaining client confidentiality.
