About The Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing competent and compassionate care to every patient and family member in the Clinic and Ambulatory Surgery Center through assessing and monitoring the care of patients. The Registered Nurse effectively coordinates the care of patients in accordance to physician orders and established procedures. In a fast paced, high-volume work environment, the nurse must be able to manage various simultaneous tasks including analyzing accurate clinical information, identifying symptoms and changes to take appropriate action in a timely manner, and working independently with physician guidance. The role requires using independent judgement to deliver sound clinical decisions, while simultaneously meeting patient needs and adhering to facility policies and procedures. The nurse will create an environment of inclusion and trust for diverse groups to enable effective communication with colleagues and appropriate patient/family education. The ability to utilize feedback to learn and adapt, while remaining self-aware regarding their own actions and resulting impact is essential. The role also requires thriving in an accelerated change agility environment with the ability to learn and adopt new responsibilities based on shifting demands.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • One year of nursing experience in Pre-op/PACU
  • Two years of nursing experience in OR
  • One year of Operating Room nurse experience
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Georgia OR Current Compact Registered Nurse Licensure to practice in the state of Georgia
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • 1+ years of nursing experience in Pre-op/PACU
  • Experience in Urology/Urogynecology setting
  • 3+ years of nursing experience in OR
  • 2+ years of Operating Room nurse experience
  • 2+ years of experience with Robotic procedures preferred (Alpharetta location only)
  • One year of experience with Robotic procedures preferred (Alpharetta Location Only)
