About The Position

The Case Investigator investigates personal injury claims by researching social media, backgrounds, databases, and internet sources to discover potential negligence by drivers, companies, and other contributing parties. The investigator follows company policies and procedures and provides findings and related claim support to attorneys, management, and clients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent organizational and research skills.
• Excellent critical-thinking skills, including an interest in finding links and correlations relevant to potential negligence.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Ability to use discretion when handling confidential information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with FileVine.

Responsibilities

• Quickly and correctly identify all parties involved in personal injury cases and obtain their contact information.
• Research company and business websites, federal, state, and local government websites, and safety regulatory websites.
• Research social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
• Read, analyze, and distill information from multiple sources and apply it to investigations.
• Prepare in-depth reports on background data and social media findings.
• Identify and notify potential insurance carriers of claims on behalf of clients.
• Generate and mail letters of representation and other correspondence to involved parties as required.
• Communicate investigative findings to management and attorneys.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding subjects under investigation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
