About The Position

Partnership Schools is seeking a full-time Pre-K teacher at St. Thomas Aquinas School. The role is suited to educators committed to raising student achievement and respectful of Catholic culture, identity, and values. Teachers are expected to welcome ongoing feedback and develop their instructional practice and professional skills. Support includes weekly school-based professional development, network-wide professional development meetings, and coaching and feedback from school-site leadership.

Responsibilities

Develop a positive, structured classroom environment that engages students and meets their intellectual, physical, social, and emotional needs.
Assume direct responsibility for students’ care and safety at all times.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan units and lessons and develop expertise in implementing instruction.
Fulfill the school’s mission to educate the whole child: mind, body, and spirit.
Take accountability for student learning and conduct and record ongoing assessments and evaluations of student progress as required.
Communicate with students’ families consistently, positively, and respectfully.
Participate in ongoing professional development to grow as an instructional leader.
Ensure the classroom complies with Ohio Department of Job and Family Services or Department of Education preschool licensing rules.
Maintain accurate attendance records, incident reports, and developmental portfolios.
