About The Position

Wayne Early Learning Center is seeking a passionate and nurturing Pre-K Teacher to work with young learners in Wayne, Pennsylvania. The role focuses on supporting children during an important stage of development through engaging instruction, play-based learning, social-emotional development, and school-readiness skills. The teacher will contribute to a safe, inclusive, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate classroom and collaborate with families and staff to support each child’s growth.

Requirements

Prior experience working with Pre-K or early childhood age groups.
Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Patient, warm, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for working with young children.
Ability to pass required background checks and clearances under Pennsylvania state requirements.

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
Pennsylvania teaching certification or Child Development Associate (CDA) credential is a plus.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards.
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment for Pre-K students.
Monitor and assess student development, documenting progress and milestones.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student growth and classroom activities.
Incorporate play-based learning, social-emotional development, and school-readiness skills into daily instruction.
Collaborate with fellow teachers, aides, and administrative staff to support whole-child development.
Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom setting.
