About The Position
Discovery Isle Preschool is seeking an enthusiastic full-time Pre-K Closing Teacher to join its preschool community. The role focuses on inspiring curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. The teacher creates an engaging classroom, designs hands-on lessons that prepare students for kindergarten and beyond, builds relationships with families through communication and collaboration, and supports children’s social, emotional, and academic growth. The position requires frequent walking, standing, sitting, squatting, stooping, reaching, kneeling, rising from the floor, twisting, listening, reading, writing, and speaking English. It also often requires carrying, lifting, repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally pushing, pulling, or bending. The role regularly requires hearing and clear vision, with or without correction. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have an awarded high school diploma or GED.
- Must have completed 12 Core ECE Units, have a valid Child Development Associate (CDA) in Preschool, or have six months of teaching experience in a licensed preschool or early childhood center.
- A nurturing personality with patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with babies.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
