About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring Pre-K Childcare Staff for our Before and After School Programs at Uriah Hill Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves working with children aged 3-12, facilitating hands-on activities, and providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment. The schedule follows the school calendar, with opportunities for morning (7:00-8:30 am) and/or afternoon (2:15-6:00 pm) programs. This part-time, non-exempt position is ideal for individuals who love working with children, are patient, kind, and enjoy encouraging curiosity and creativity. The role requires collaboration with teammates and effective communication with families, along with reliability and organization.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field.
  • Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period (with 1 year of experience).
  • 9 Credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field with a plan of study leading to Associates or other Office recognized credential (with 2 years of experience).
  • Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
  • Demonstrates a positive, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and team members.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance.
  • Able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and meet the physical demands of working with children.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
  • Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
  • Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
  • Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
