Pre-K Childcare Staff – Before & After School
About The Position
Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our Before and After School Program at Arlington Central School District for the 2026–2027 school year. This position is part-time and follows the school calendar, with opportunities available for morning (7:00 - 9:15 am), afternoon (2:15 - 5:00 pm), or both programs. The role is ideal for parents seeking a schedule that aligns with the school day, education majors or future teachers looking for hands-on experience, or retirees who enjoy staying active and mentoring children. The position involves facilitating hands-on activities, providing a safe and fun environment, observing state and school policies, and supporting program operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
- Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.

Responsibilities
- Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
- Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
- Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
- Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
