Pre-K Childcare Staff – Before & After School
About The Position
Healthy Kids Programs is hiring Pre-K Childcare Staff for its Before and After School Program at Uriah Hill School in Peekskill, New York, for the 2026–2027 school year. The part-time, non-exempt role follows the school calendar. The morning program runs from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m., and the afternoon program runs from 2:15 to 6:00 p.m.; opportunities may be available for either or both programs. The position supports children through hands-on activities, homework, and a safe, positive care environment. Employer-paid childcare is available for employees’ school-age children enrolled in the program during the days and hours the employee works.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or at least one year of experience working with children under age 13.
- Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
- Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.

- Experience working with children and classroom management, particularly for education majors or future teachers.

Responsibilities
- Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities, as well as homework completion.
- Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
- Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
- Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
