About The Position

R+L Carriers has an immediate opening for a part-time Pre-Clerk at its Piedmont, South Carolina Service Center. The role supports service center operations by answering and redirecting calls, entering data, processing driver paperwork, and assisting dispatchers. Other duties may be assigned by management.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Starting pay is $17.66 per hour. Employees earn one week of vacation after 90 days of employment. R+L Carriers describes itself as a family-owned, privately held transportation company founded in 1965, serving the transportation and distribution industry.

Requirements

• Ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to type 30 WPM accurately.
• Dependable and well-organized.
• Computer literate.
• Strong office, telephone, and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Windows, Outlook, and other Microsoft products.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of experience as a clerk or in a similar role in a fast-paced environment.
• Freight logistics experience.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls on a multi-line telephone system.
• Redirect calls to appropriate contacts.
• Perform data entry.
• Process driver paperwork.
• Assist dispatchers.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
