About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Pre-Cast Technician to join our Fibrebond team in Minden, LA! The core hours average 54 per week between 6 am - 4:30 pm, M-F. There is overtime every other Saturday from 6 am - 2:30 pm. The Precast Concrete Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, casting, finishing, and installing precast concrete panels, roofs, and floor components used in modular buildings. This role involves working with concrete, molds, precast forms, and structural components using hand tools and equipment while following blueprints, specifications, and safety requirements. Fibrebond, an Eaton company, designs and manufactures pre integrated modular buildings and power enclosures that protect mission critical equipment for data center, industrial, utility, and communications customers. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, tape measures, and written work instructions
  • Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Minden, LA facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, pushing, and pulling with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and position materials weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work from elevated surfaces and in an industrial concrete manufacturing environment
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including eyewear, hearing protection, gloves, and steel‑toed boots
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of trade secrets and proprietary information.

  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring devices (e.g., grinder, saw, tape measure)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare casting beds by positioning, lubricating, and adjusting rails, bulkheads, and forms according to blueprints
  • Install form components including rails, bulkheads, buffers, wire mats, rebar, door frames, PVC, foam, weld plates, and block caps
  • Distribute, level, and finish concrete in forms using overhead bins, screeds, and hand tools, including troweling edges, doors, and control joints
  • Apply surface treatments such as glucose retardant, plastic coverings, and faux brick stencils or coloring when required
  • Operate carousel systems and material‑handling equipment to move casting pallets
  • Clean, strip, and maintain pallets and casting beds by removing forms and debris using buffers, grinders, and hand tools
  • Install precut rebar mats, deliver rebar components, and prefabricate materials to support carousel line operations
  • Inspect finished concrete components for defects and verify measurements per prints, including climbing onto forms as required
  • Attach rigging, assist with lifting and stripping concrete components, remove block‑outs, and bolt assemblies together per specifications
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and assist with additional duties as assigned
