About The Position

The Pre-Arrival Specialist is responsible for completing all pre-arrival activities to ensure patients are financially cleared and administratively prepared prior to the date of service. This role performs insurance verifications, prior authorization activities, No-Surprise Billing Act (NSBA) functions, and proactive patient outreach to confirm appointment details, coverage, and financial expectations. The Pre-Arrival Specialist collaborates closely with scheduling, clinical departments, and payers to identify and resolve potential barriers before arrival, supporting a positive patient experience, efficient patient flow, and accurate billing while reducing avoidable denials and delays.

Requirements

• One year of experience working in medical billing, insurance verification or related field required.
• Familiarity with patient types and insurance billing processes, or a willingness to learn and expand knowledge in these areas.
• Basic proficiency with Excel, email, and financial or registration systems, with the ability and desire to learn new applications and workflows.
