About The Position

The Pre-Analytical Services Coordinator will provide support to pre-analytical services’ teams, including but not limited to managing samples that need additional paperwork or go through special workflow processes, providing data entry and matching support on submittal paperwork during peak season and times of additional coverage needs. In addition, the role will be involved in reviewing sample process flow and identifying trends, and be involved in root cause opportunity and solution analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Midwest Labs internal systems and processes preferred
  • Previous Laboratory experience preferred
  • Data capture and interpretation experience preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in environmental sciences, with preference toward understanding water hold time regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Managing samples that go through a sample resolution process of needing additional paperwork, separate workflows or additional information for the sample to be processed.
  • Document sample issues and provide data around repeat troublesome clients, sample types, operational issues, etc.
  • Collaboration with Account Managers, Lab Supervisors and inter-departmentally to process samples through the sample resolution process in a timely manner.
  • Support Special Operations team with entry/matching of Feeds and Soils during peak season and when additional coverage is needed.
  • Conduct trend and process workflow analysis to identify root causes and engage in solution development.
